Has anyone on H/U been on Appeal to upgrade a DLA/PIP decision then actually get worse before the Appeal hearing date, Did you cancel the Appeal date or forward your more recent illness and receive an upgrade award.Mattcass

If you can't attend the appeal Matt go to your dr and get a letter and have someone attend for you (a lawyer would be ideal even if it costs) and get them to take the letter. Do you have d.i.a.l near you if so contact them and get them to take on your case. So glad you are back here.xxx

Tell them you need a home visit did to your oxygen !

I have been trying to find something useful and hope that this document may help explain the process and what to do if are too unwell to attend. ldcarerscommunity.org.uk/wp... - the information on page 23 looks specifically at this question. In terms of being able to add more evidence to your appeal the document suggest that you should send this as son as possible and that your attendance especially with a representative is important.
