I haven't been on here for a while although have looked in occasionally.
As well as having RA I've also had my diagnosis of Cushings Disease confirmed due to a pituitary tumour; I'm now waiting for a date for surgery - it's taken 9 months to get here, it will need 2 surgeons to operate and they only operate 2 days a month & ofcourse it's the summer holidays!!
The RA isn't too bad but the pain & the muscle weakness from the Cushings is intense, so much so that I am considering getting a mobility scooter as I can't walk very far! I was walking further just after I had my knee replaced!
Ironic really, my body is producing too many steroids & it's having a disastrous effect, yet steroids are given to us to help with inflammation but too many can do a lot of damage!
I've also had laser surgery on my eye to prevent glaucoma.
And I'm waiting to have my foot operated on but they won't do that until the pituitary is sorted as I'm too high a risk!
At least it's summer & the weather is being quite nice!
