it seems to have damaged/irritated the anus. This was quickly followed by a sort of ecxema (spelling?) all around including the sexual organ nearby. It produced severe itching and burning/irritation. I have seen different specialists. I have been given different creams, and told how to take care about thorough hygiene, and on twice a day Fibres drink. The problem seems to improve, only to fall back to square one again and again.
For a while I was treated for supposed Micosis/mychosis (spelling?). Same result.
Final test said E.coli. Now I am on 3 weeks antibiotics (Levofloxacina plus Daktarin 2% cream). Again ecxema(?) OK again, but anus still badly hurt. Can't sit.
Anyone can advise?

Can't help, I afraid, but as you don't seem to have had any responses, I thought I'd just send sympathy. It sounds painful. I do find codeine makes me very constipated and this can lead to problems in that area, but your condition sounds harder to resolve. J
Thank you very much Jora. Yes, it has been very trying. And yes, it originally started with a longish spell of constipation with difficulty in expelling feces/too large and hard forcing the anus unnaturally and damaging it all around in the process. From this the bacterium, which lives in most people bowels without problems, apparently invaded the damaged anal area and set off an 'ecxema'-like infection extending to the the vulva itself. And it was not Micosis as told earlier. It's E.coli. Hence the Antibiotics now. I am keeping my fingers crossed. But it is nice to get replies. Thanks again.
It sounds terribly painful & frustrating for you though I'm not sure what brought you to this site in particular. Maybe as Jo says the root cause could be the medication you take? I take it that with all the investigations you've had this has been discussed? If you have a diagnosed condition maybe a HU site nearer to this, I don't know if there's an eczema site where they'd be able to understand what you're going through.
I wish you well & hope that the antibiotics do the trick once & for all.
Thank a lot for your answer. The latest test didn't speak about Micosis, but E.coli. Hence the Antibiotics. It only looked to me like 'ecxema'. I meant an 'ecxema'-like infection all around the whole area. It was all red with some bleeding. Still very sore when going to the toilet. The itching and pain and sort of ecxema are being controlled with a cream, but I don't know whether the antibiotics will clear up this mess for good. I am worried because I tend to be resistant to them. I have been taking a variety of other medicines for a number of years for various other problems, but, as you suggested, it's quite possible that one of them has managed to disrupt the evacuation system and caused this serious spell of constipation, the origin of all this. Even my doctor thinks so. But I have to take those medicines.
Oh yes, it never occurred to me that you might have landed on the site for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis by mistake! Well spotted Heels! We do have such a diverse range of complications, side effects and co-mobidities ( my least favourite word!) that nothing surprises me. J
