Can you have a holiday while receiving dla/esa/pip. I am going through the pip process again as i already have dla/esa i informed them i was getting worse hence where i am now. I missed an appointment because i thought it was in May not April. We are going away at the end of May and i have to contact them about rescheduling my appt. Do i tell them i am having a holiday or not and what if they offer me a date while i am away. Thank you.xxx

Hi Sylvi, last time I looked at the DLA & ESA rules, (not yet met PIP), there is nothing to say you cannot go on holiday. But I would probably wait & see what date they offer &, if need be, answer with a "sorry, I already have something on that day" without being specific. Followed by a "how about the week beginning .... ?" [which would be after your holiday]. If they push for a reason you could do a "my .... has booked time off work to take me away" rather than use the words "I" & "holiday". There's a good chance they are like hospitals & are already solidly booked for at least a month. Have a lovely holiday & I hope you can forget all about PIP & everything else for a while, RAinK

Morning, i hope you get it sorted quick and can relax and enjoy yr holiday, surely just because ppl are in receipt of dla, esa or pip it doesnt mean we cant have a holiday, i understand yr wary of telling them, but we deserve a holiday and so do our loved ones that care for us, as long as you dont say yr rock climbing or white river rafting 😉 lol...and yes go and enjoy yr break.x

Rock climbing ... if only. Would certainly separate ones that would qualify and those that don't. Farm

Yes you can Sylvi, certainly as far as PIP is concerned. There aren't any restrictions for how many holidays you have either in the UK or abroad, they only need to know if you intend to leave the country for more than 4 weeks, if this is the case they need informing.
