Good morning,i spent yesterday in my garden tidying it up ready for summer. I had help from my hubby. He did all the lifting and any heavy work as well as cleaning up. I am paying for it this morning. I only did one corner at a time and i took it easy would you believe. Hubby painted the fences for me, bless him he worked hard getting it done for me. I am doing nothing today as i am in agony and hurt all over this morning. Hope you like my photo.xx

My Garden from which i am paying for this morning...
Looks lovely --- sit back , feet up,;nice cup or whatever takes your fancy and admire your handy work ☺jacki.
Like you I need to get the garden into some shape but it's not happening! I've planted some scented lily bulbs in a pot & trimmed the honeysuckle but that's the limit of my gardening thus far. I have shovel loads of sand to move from the drive thanks to the high winds & living one road back from the beach & it's flippin hard work. I was sort of willing yesterday but my h talked me out of it, not that I needed much discouragement. It'll get done piecemeal but I've sort of lost interest as we can't plant much up with hoping to move. Your photo looks lovely Sylvi, I think that's why I'm lacking motivation, we've little flowering except the odd daf/narcisus & they're at the end now. Since coming back we've not invested too much into planting except for fruit trees we're bringing on in pots so they're easily moved & they're just starting to bud up now.
Sit back & enjoy the fruits of yours & your h's labours, you deserve it after all your good work.
All that's missing is a comfy cushion and your favourite tipple. A lovely place to sit and unwind Sylvia x
Hello Sylvie, what a lovely garden But sorry to hear you're hurting as a result!! I'd love to sit in that garden and sip a G & T and relax with a good book xx
You are welcome to join me,i will skip the alcohol, but your welcome to bring a gin, and paula i do have comfy cushions, but at the moment they are still in the loft.xxxx
Looks lovely Sylvi, so hope the weather stays good so you can enjoy it.
That's a very inviting corner. I used to love doing my garden, but now that I have to get help, it no longer feels quite like mine. I was intending to down-size this year, but because of knee replacements, I'm postponing it to next year. But part of me has already left, I think. I think that's where I resonate with Heels .
Rest, enjoy, and take pride in your efforts.
Thank you all very much,i am still suffering today. I am glad i did it even though i have aid for it since. The back garden is nearly finished i think apart from some painting of fences and the shed and i think hubby will be doing that. There are other things to do out there like planting seedlings and plants that i pick up,but they are small jobs.
I don't like that i can't do it without help as that has always been my domain. Have a lovely day everyone.xxxx
