Are you in your twenties or thirties and have RA?

Hi Everyone,

We've had a few enquiries recently from younger people with RA who want to speak to someone of a similar age.

We have a fantastic network of peer to peer telephone support volunteers but need more of you on board!

If you are interested in further helping support others going through a similar experience to you, as you already do so well here, we'd love to hear from you.

Find out more about getting involved at nras.org.uk/speak-to-someon...

Full training is given to appropriate candidates who would like to volunteer to help others in this way. If you think you have what it takes to become a Telephone Support Volunteer then please phone Gill or Kim on 0845 458 3969 or email volunteers@nras.org.uk

Of course we always love to hear from all age groups but have had more enquiries recently from younger patients. We look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes,

Ruth Grosart

Well.> I JUST turned 40... I am not 20-30 range, but still younger at heart.... I look young so, when I have to use a motor cart on flare-up days at the grocery store, I get EVIL stares and snarky looks, but I KNOW I NEED it.. and I make SURE there are at least 2 or 3 more motor carts in case there are elderly or other disabled people that would need them have them available... My doctors are always telling me I am "TOO YOUNG" for this and that.. I would definitely be a good support for anyone younger that is trying to cope with R.A. ... Everyone thinks I am 25, by my looks.. but my body feels as though I am 80 at times!! I recently was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis of My Femoral Head after an MRI and I need a hip replacement !! Of COURSE , My orthopedic surgeon says I am TOO YOUNG for a replacement and wants to try to do a core decompression of the bone to try and buy a few years before the replacement ! >. I am STAYING Optimistic and would like to find others in their late 30's and early 40's I could correspond with and share experiences and get to know ... Thank you ! TOMMY
