Anyone have cold legs from knees down or is this a different issue from RA?
Cold Legs : Anyone have cold legs from knees down or is... - NRAS
Cold Legs
i would say it is due to it being an auto immune symptom, i have the same and i dont have RA but another type of auto immune called vasculitis, which shares many similar symptoms to each other. my legs are purple from being cold
I would definitely report that to my GP - it could be a neurological symptom of some kind (paraesthesia, or abnormal sensations). If you are on anti-tnfs, then all the more important to report it (to your rheumatologist or rheumatology nurse) as they may want to rule out a drug induced neuro condition.
Thanks for your replies. I don't have any discolouration and if I wrap up my legs in bed they're ok. I'm on Retuximab which seems to be working (fingers crossed). I will mention this to gp and consultant at next appointment.
Yes, often feel cold and often also a feeling as though sparklers are hitting the skin! They think mine is due to nerve damage either due to the RA or due to the medications... can't win.
I've had for a a couple of years and it hasn't spread or got any worse if that's any comfort.
