NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 15th September 2014

Medway NRAS Group

This group meet at the Medway Health Staff Social Club at Medway Maritime Hospital, Windmill Road, Gillingham, Kent ME7 5NY bi-monthly on a Monday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

15th September - Guest speaker: Clare Jacklin, Director of External Affairs, topic: '50 Shades of RA'

Oldham NRAS Group

Bi-monthly meetings are held at St John's Ambulance Headquarters, Busk Road, off Ellen Street, Oldham, OL9 6QY on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

16th September - Oldham Leisure on safe exercise

Southend-on-Sea NRAS Group

Thelma co-ordinates this NRAS group. Meetings take place bi-monthly at the Salvation Army Citadel (opposite Morrisons), 146-148 London Road, Hadleigh, Essex, SS7 2PF on a Tuesday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. 

16th September - Guest speaker: Hannah Sullivan - Hand therapist from Southend Hospital

Cambridge NRAS Group

The Cambridge group have a new meeting venue! The remaining 2014 meetings will be held at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 0QQ. Please see below times and dates for these meetings.

Tuesday 16th September - 3.30pm to 5pm - 'Podiatry and RA' by Joanna Lindhofer, Biomechanics Specialist Podiatrist at Chesterton Medical Centre, Cambridge. This meeting will be held in Addenbrooke's Hospital seminar room J3. 

Yeovil NRAS Group

Tina and Elaine co-ordinate this group and meet at the Holy Trinity Church and Community Centre in Lysander Road, Yeovil, BA20 2BU on the third Wednesday of every other month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm unless otherwise stated. 

17th September - Social evening with a dinner to be held at the Airfield Tavern, Alvington Lane, Yeovil, BA22 8UX from 7pm onwards. If you would like to attend please call NRAS on 01628 823 524 or email [e-mail]. 

Blackpool NRAS Group

Blackpool and District NRAS Group (BADRAG) meet in the cafeteria at Clifton Hospital, Pershore Road, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1PB from 7:00pm – 8:30pm on the third Thursday of alternate months.

18th September - Sue McAusland, Podiatrist. Why do my feet hurt so much? Advice on foot health, footwear etc.

Heart of England (Solihull) NRAS Group

This NRAS group meets on the fourth Thursday of every other month at Broomfield Hall, Union Road, Solihull B91 3DH (The British Legion) from 6:45pm for prompt start at 7:00pm to 8:30pm. 

18th September - Lisa Preston from ShoeMed in Stratford-upon-Avon will be talking about comfort and orthopaedic footwear

North Durham NRAS Group

The group meets 4 times a year at All Saints Catholic Church, Kitswell Road, Lanchester, DH7 0JH on a Thursday from 7:00pm-9:00pm. There will also be a raffle and refreshments at the meetings.

18th September - ‘Biologic Therapy’ - A talk by Sarah Hailwood, Consultant in Rheumatology and Belinda Robinson, Biologic Nurse at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
