I've just had my results from the MRI Scan and they say they think I've had a stroke rather than dementia lol so I've now got to see a specialist in July, a big relief really lol.

Well at least it wasn't dementia & once they find out what caused it they can add more tablets to the mix!! Might be the perfect opportunity for them to do a review of them. It's possible if no-one noticed a change in you it happened whilst you were asleep as it did with my f-i-l & he's still here, rattling more but here lol!!

Lol what you like lol, I do feel a lot more settled now, more pills, I take about 30 a day as it is lol but it could be a good time to check them all out and maybe they could add a new sound to the pills lol.

It must be a weight off your mind Philip. New sound to the pills? Not sure what you're meaning there, but if you mean a different rattle that's funny & at least it's not robbed you of your sense of humour!! :)

It's a big weight I must admit lol and yes to a different pill rattle lol

Do hope it can be classed as a TIA. On the whole much better than dementia which is not so easily treated, although improvements are happening all the time. More pills, just so you can rattle more. Actually it's a wonder we don't all glow in the dark with all these chemicals. Chin up! Stroke prevention these days is good. Hope you feel a lot easier now and not too worried. Am sure there are a lot of us with you in spirit.

Thank you, I don't know too much about things yet, I'm going to see a consultant on the 18th of July and hopefully I can come back and update this.

It's good to know that I have your and others support.

Thank you.

I think I'd be glad too in a perverse sort of way if was you. Strokes can benefit a huge amount from rehab type therapy, so if you can, join a stroke support group and see what they recommend to get you back as close to normal as quickly as possible, and if you are offered physio or OT, take it.

Hi, I'm seeing specialist next month and my GP hopefully tomorrow and see what they have to say, definitely the better of the two lol and with some help I'll be ready to fight once again lol.

Thank you, a great idea but I shall wait for my appointment before I look for a support group.

a relief for you I'm sure , although a stroke isn't good at least you know what's causing your problems. good luck x

Ah Philip, I feel your relief! Have to go to stroke clinic myself tomorrow for MRI results. I'm hoping for TIA diagnosis rather than anything else. Least of the evils. Be kind to yourself and take care. Xx

Sorry to hear your news, but hope you can now go from strength to strength and recover totally. Which you certainly can't do with dementia, so I know which I'd prefer!

Thank you Helix, I'm so well relieved lol but I'm waiting to see the consultant on 18 July , a bit far off but I'll chat my GP TOMORROW if I can or early next week oh no lol it's only Wednesday tomorrow and I have another couple days to get in the docs lol, see I'm going daft anyways.
