Mmmm guess what I did today and now I can't sleep ........... Steroid Infusions

Hello here I am again. Number 2 infusion completed today ...... Wide awake again. Grrrrr.

Plus side I wasn't so nauseous today.

Bad side my blood sugars have shot right up to above 22. We treat one thing and cause another treat that and cause another.

Grump over!!!!!

Hi allanah. You have my every sympathy. Honestly I feel now that I lost so much weight to "cure" my diabetes that I resent steroids doing this to me grrrrr

Same here.i I'm on pred and sugar levels are double what they should be, that's on living in a very careful way. This seems to have created a meltdown in waterworks department. Had an infection, that's dealt with. Take care ..

Can you not be given sleeping pills to combat this? I have been on Zolpidem 5 days a week for ages to deal with sleeplessness as a result of steroids. They keep telling me they will take me off the steroids once they find the right drug to control the RA. The drug combinations are making me worse than I was in the first place. The up side is that I sleep 5 days a week!! Hope this helps.
