You are my sunshine my only sunshine you make me happy when sky's are grey...is a song that my hubby's grandma would sing to my son when he was a baby...bless her...she was 90...he's 19 now always special memories of her singing...so today I'm hoping the sun is shining where he is today in Nottingham...as its not shining here in the north east...
Ye the promise of sun from the weather man hasn't quite materialised! Well at least we can have a sunny disposition here, lovely story about your son and his gran.
The only one that comes to my mind is " You are my sunshine" it was a beautiful day here in Florida. Blue sky and hot! Perfect beach day. I should have gone to the beach in stead of doing some yard work with a dull pair of scissors. Lol what is the weather like where you are? I see the city of London has a high of 60 and low 44. I'd be freezing to death!
O yes Tinwoman! The Yellow Submarine I love that song. When I go back to sleep it will probably stick in my head and keep me up lol. It almost 4 AM here
Mine is "One Day Like This" by Elbow. It always makes me think of lovely warm sunny days, in fact just thinking about it is making me feel roight haaapy as they say in this neck of the woods xx
No sun only came out a measly bit yesterday , Abby after all promises, hope the hand is better today x and Elbow , misty a Saw them at glasto a couple of years ago . On a hot sunny day and they were amazing . X
Sunny songs - Walking on Sunshine by Katrina & the Waves is the first one I think of! Also makes me think of Weather with you by Crowded House and Wake up Boo by the Boo Radleys (although it's about the end of summer it feels summery!)
