I am waiting to go on biologic drugs which seems to be taking ages. I am trying to work full time too. I was feeling all alone and just need some encouraging words please. I suddenly realised you were all there.

Hi Patsy-57, I think its brave of you to be working full time its so hard when your in pain and your feeling a bit down with it all. I to work but only part time but I am now thinking of giving it up. Can I just ask how long have you got to wait for the new medication? maybe you should take some time of work. And your never alone on here I am always moaning on here and the people have never let me down when it comes to words of wisdom or just a cyber hug, oh and we do get a good giggle. Just stay positive share your worries with us lot, and here is a big cyber hug ................. can you feel it lol xxxxxxxxx

Many thanks for the cyber hug. I don't know how long I have to wait rheumy said four weeks but that is only to be seen by the nurses. I have waited four weeks now time to start ringing I think. I knew you were all here for the good times and the bad. I felt better for sharing my frustration and woes.

Thank you I felt better for just getting it out in the open to people with the same problems. I have rung the helpline in the past and know you are there too.

Hello Patsy

Welcome to our site, there are many on these pages that have or going on these types of medication, so you will be able to pick up markers from them.

Generally Biologics and DMARDS are suggested and looked into before the patient is introduced to them so it can be some time before you get the script.

All I can say is again welcome, members are attentive and supportive

Hope you feel better soon. As far as I am aware, even if you had your biologic, you would not be able to take it until your infection has cleared up

Hi,

Be encouraged there's always ups and downs and things get better once you get a regime that works for you. I always try repeating to myself that its gonna be all right,it will pass. All u need is to give it time and take one day at a time.Hope you feel better soon

Thanks for reply. Feel better today, antibiotics are starting to work. Think everything got on top of me yesterday, chest, trying to work and then nothing happening when you want it to. I know it takes a long time but it doesn't help when you feel low. Hope you get them.
