Please find details below of the NRAS group meetings taking place next week.

NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 24th March 2014

Swansea NRAS Group

Meetings are held at Sketty Parish Centre, De La Beche Road, Sketty, Swansea SA2 9AR from 7:30pm-9:00pm.

Car parking adjacent and full disabled access. 

24th March - Val & John Higgon will be giving a talk on the benefits of Yoga for people with RA

Medway NRAS Group

This group meet at the Medway Health Staff Social Club at Medway Maritime Hospital, Windmill Road, Gillingham, Kent ME7 5NY bi-monthly on a Monday from 7-9pm. 

24th March - Guest speaker: Mary O'Hanlon, Yoga Instructor (Specialising in exercise for those with mobility issues)

North Hampshire & Winchester NRAS Group

The following dates for group meetings are to be held at Central 40, Chineham Park, Basingstoke RG24 8WG on a Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

26th March - Laura Wetherly, Government Affairs Officer at NRAS will be giving a talk on the welfare reforms

Salisbury NRAS Group

The group meets bi-monthly at Sarum College, The Close, Salisbury SP1 2EE (free parking available) from 6:30pm-8:30pm on a Wednesday. 

26th March - Guest speaker: Caroline Harmsworth, Cranial Osteopath

Wrexham & District NRAS Group

2014 meetings are held bi-monthly at Tesco Wrexham, Cresent Road, Wrexham, LL13 8HF from 6:30-8:30pm on a Wednesday. (Please make your way to the customer service desk where someone will be on hand to direct you to the room)

26th March - Gadgets, Gizmos and Giving yourself a chance - helpful hints, tips and aids for living with RA, everyday. A chance to hear first-hand, expert advice on what gadgets, gizmos, tools and tips are out there and proven to make

everyday tasks easier for those living with RA. Hear from Occupational Therapist, Sam Jones, on how Occupational Therapy forms part of the care you receive, which aids she thinks are worth it and hear what others living with RA have to say! Share your tips too! This group is for everyone, so if you have a hint, tip or gadget you couldn’t live without; bring it with you to share with the group!

HoE Solihull NRAS Group

This NRAS group meets on the fourth Thursday of every other month at Broomfield Hall, Union Road, Solihull B91 3DH (The British Legion) from 6:45pm for prompt start at 7:00pm to 8:30pm unless otherwise stated. This is opposite the back entrance to Solihull Hospital. 

27th March - Dr. Arvand Sinha, Clinical Director and Consultant Rheumatologist at Solihull Hospital

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
