Bad knee

I have bakers knee, has anyone else had this my calf and thigh are now swelling.

I had it , got anti inflammatories and a tubing rip bandage , painful thing , I feel sad for you. . Doc said when RA more controlled it would be better xxx

Hi.Yes I had it and painful it was too.I thought it may be a DVT and ended up in a & e.They gave me strong painkillers and I dozed my way through the next few days! It then disappeared, my ra stabilized, and I am glad to say

I haven't had it since and that was about 6 years ago (never forgotten though!

Hope it clears by Christmas put your feet up and say you need to rest it!

Yes, I have. It's a Bakers cyst that has burst, the fluid filling your calf. I have had 2 burst, one also bursting a blood vessel. I was told to wear compression socks and keep my leg up as much as possible. I was also told to take Naproxine twice a day. It lasted some time and when the swelling was at its highest, was very painful to touch. Hope that helps. Anne

Thankyou all for your responses its getting more painful everyday I am actually thinkin a trip too a and e after work xx

Probably a good idea. I was told this indicated you have RA. I am concerned your thigh is swelling - it was just my calf swelling. Good luck at a & e xx Anne
