Dear all

Just a final call to all NRAS Members who have yet to vote for the Healthcare Champion(s) for 2013. The deadline is this coming Friday 9th August.

Many people across the UK with rheumatoid arthritis are receiving excellent care and support in coping with their disease. The dedication and professionalism of the healthcare professionals working in this field play a vital role in getting the best outcomes for patients.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) holds the biennial Healthcare Champion Awards to celebrate the excellent work that healthcare professionals are doing around the UK and highlight this good practice to one audience that can really make a difference – policymakers. Following the success of the Healthcare Champion Awards in 2006, 2008 and 2011, this year we need your help to find those healthcare professionals who are really championing the cause of rheumatoid arthritis patients and maintain an excellent service in spite of the challenging financial environment.

We need you to nominate your healthcare champions – either an individual, or a whole rheumatology team using this form.

Why not nominate your:

- consultant - GP

- nurse - physiotherapist

- podiatrist - surgeon

- occupational therapist - or whole rheumatology team!

We will then choose the ten top Healthcare Champions in the UK and invite them, and those of you who successfully nominate them, to attend a high profile awards ceremony in November 2013.

Please complete the nomination form here. A copy is also available to download from the Members area of our website, under 'Members news and activities'. The closing date for nominations is Friday 9th August 2013.

All nomination forms should be sent to James Mac Daid at james@helenjohnsonconsulting.com A panel of judges will sift the nominations and identify those individuals and teams who have undertaken outstanding work to support rheumatoid arthritis patients over the last 24 months.

Thank you to all those who have nominated so far and a full report, including all the winners and photos from the evening, will be featured in the winter edition of our Members' magazine.

Best wishes,

Emma

Hi Emma,

I can't find this form anywhere. I found "Members News and Activities" only when I entered it in Search and the latest entry was from 6 days ago about lungs. When I go into members I just find a list of newly joined members. I may be being very dense so please advise as I have a wonderful physio I would like to nominate.

Hi Alsmum,

Unfortunately it is only open to NRAS members and is accessed via the Members' area of our website, not that of HealthUnlocked. Apologies if this wasn't clear in my post. However, I'm pleased to hear that you have a wonderful physio.

Many thanks

Emma
