NRAS Group meetings this week!

Leicester NRAS Group

This NRAS group will meet at the Braunstone Civic Centre, Kingsway, Braunstone Town, Leicester LE3 2PP. They will hold bi-monthly meetings (in the Ravenhurst Room) on a Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

July 23rd - Guest speaker: Clinical Nurse Specialist, Karina Kennett from the Pain Clinic at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Karina will advise on pain relief and control and there will be ample opportunity for questions and answers.

Maidstone NRAS Group

Meetings are held at Tremain Hall, Aylesford Village Community Centre, 25 Forstal Road, Aylesford, ME20 7AU on Tuesdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

23rd July - First speaker: Kerrie Ann Yazdanfar, topic: Pilates (a gentle exercise for anyone done from a chair). Second speaker: Vick Bernard, topic: Golden Zumba (a fun exercise done from a chair)

North Hampshire & Winchester NRAS Group

The following dates for group meetings are to be held at Central 40, Chineham Park, Basingstoke RG24 8WG on a Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

24th July - 'These Boots are Made for Walking' A presentation from Matthew Mee, MSK Podiatrist, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. He will talk about feet and problems experienced by those with RA, as well as the best way to keep feet healthy. Plenty of time for questions.

Isle of Wight NRAS Group

Meetings held at Laidlaw Day Hospital, St Mary's Hospital Campus, Dodnor Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight on a Thursday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. For more information and for details of future meetings please visit the Isle of Wight NRAS group website.

25th July - Bingo night! £1 to play, refreshments will be provided and there will be a raffle draw at the end of the evening.

Cambridge NRAS Group

2013 meetings will be held at Arbury Community Centre, (corner of) Campkin Road/Arbury Road, Cambridge, CB4 2LD.

Next meeting:

21st August 3:30-5:30pm - Dr. Shenker, Consultant Rheumatologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital will be talking on 'Pain Management with RA'

West London NRAS Group

On Wednesday 14th August Dr. Caroline Alexander will be talking on 'Exercise for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis'. This meeting is to be held from 1:30pm in the Rheumatology Department of Charing Cross Hospital (Ground Floor, Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Palace Road, London W6 8RF) (Hammersmith tube) This meeting is strictly limited to 30 attendees, so please register your attendance at [e-mail] specifically mentioning the date and title of this meeting.
