Sorry to sound so excited because I am ill you know. When you are ill you are supposed to be miserable because then it proves you are ill? Not true. I can be miserable ill and happy ill, because I am WOMAN and can multi-task, see.
I am today mostly happy ill. Step two in my quest to take control of my life, body and soul is underway. Having convinced the family I cannot work all day every day and still do the washing cooking cleaning and stuff... I am today having.... wait for it.... time of!!!
I know I know don't faint... I already did that... number one son has told his employer he needs to work on our farm a couple of days a week and this is one of them. So I languished in bed until 8.30 and then twiddled about on here. Then popped over the chicken house (I'm sorry I shouldn't have but I was just checking he was doing it right). The best bit was when I said well I am back off home now for a cuppa and biccy (low fat of course), while he and daddio do all the chickenninny type work. Best bit number two is I don't feel guilty. Another best bit is I feel less stressed, which makes me feel whole a lot better all over.
Just the dodgy neck and sore throat to contend with, which is peanuts compared to some days I have had previously, I can tell you.
It's coming up to lunch time and Doc and Grumpy will be home for something to eat, so I am off to practice looking morose and in pain... hehehehe. x

Hi Julie, you just make me laugh, you say "happy ill" and somehow I know exactly what you mean but would never think of saying it like that.
I know what you mean it's a day when you say your not winning RA and I'm going to do what I'm going to do.
Go for it Julie and have a happy ill day.
Happy day's

Thank you my Nrashu chums.... have astounded myself with my steadfastness... and remain rested and still in control... despite an attempt by the workforce to shirk, and put off what I have asked them to do for me today... the little blighters,, give them half and inch and they take a mile! I shall return to work in the morning and hopefully my job will be easier...woebetide them if it isn't...
Alison - my chicks are Columbian Blacktails, special breed commissioned by Waitrose for sale exclusively in their shops except those we sneak out and sell at the farm gate.
We have a mixture of sheepies, we always had Texel cross before, but Mr Shepherd has purchased some Cumbrian Mules, and put a Charolois ram on them. With spectacular results i must say. Impressed everyone, the mules (two tooths) have shelled the lambs like peas, the lambs are up sucking and raring to go before you can say booooo... and have growed too... as they say in these parts. We inherited some charolais cross ewes last summer from a neighbour and we saw how the lambs "did" and so had the idea of trying the mules (hardy) with the charolais (fast growers) and it seems to have worked.
Mr Shepherd always comes out with an "'ism" at such times, which was "they'll do like maggots...". Lets hope so. x
Loving your style Julie
Nrashu chums nice one Julie, I call you all my rheumy friends, rheum mates!!
Your posts always cheer my day, I'm often found giggling at the laptop and have to explain myself!! Today I'm feeling happy ill too x
Thank you Ann Lyn and Jo. The N is silent in Nrashu! Rheum mates is good too... still in control today and had a much easier morning out on t'farm. I am having to apply myself to some accounts today having steadfastly refused yesterday, but I am only going to do what I can until I feel I have had enough and not keep going until I am tattered... This warmer drier weather is helping methinks. Take care all x
