I'm with you on this one. I spent an obscene amount of money on my last bed but it was the best money I've spent in years. Good to hear you're getting a good nights sleep now x

I agree 100% about the good bed. I had nine months to wait before I could get on humira. Sleeping, sometimes just laying down was agony. It was the worst none months of my life. Because my social life had come to a complete end I had money over that I normally would have had a few pints of cider with my friends, so I put it to good use and bought a memory foam mattress with it. Cost me £454!!! I thought it was a terrible amount of money just for a mattress but my son and daughter-in-law have informed me that it is just about what you would pay these days.

Anyhow, my son doc all the business with it and I was so much looking forward to sinking into this new mattress and getting a decent nights sleep. Well....... it was like laying on the front door, it was agony, really, agony.

So first thing I foned the company I bought it from and told them to take it back and give me my money back. To be fair the woman at the other end of the fone was great. She said that they always get a call from new customers complaining about how 'solid' the mattress is. Her advice was to give it a week and if it was still bad they would replace it.

I put a duvet on top of the mattress and prayed I would not have to replace it. I live in Ireland firstly and I had already recycled my old mattress, I was at my witts end. Now many months later I am very happy to say that my mattress and have have come to love one another. The woman at the other end of the fone was right. The mattress had to conform to my shape and once it did all was well with the world!

So, if you can get your self a 'good' mattress it can make a wonderful difference to people like us, it really can.

Before I go, I also bought two very expensive pillows. They are latex and cost me £60.00 each!!!!! Yes I know, extravagant in the extreme but so worth it. They sell them in debenhams I think. I bought them on line, shopping in the town is a thing of the past as I'm sure many of you will agree.

There now, I exhausted writing all that. Off now for a wee sleep on my wonderful mattress.

Love to all, jean.
