Happy Easter paddling

Was fortunate to have a wonderful paddling weekend at "Hells Gate" on the Southern tip of Inhaca Island. Named as such due to the total unpredictable current and waves...Lots of fishing boats lost at this point..

We did not catch fish, although we tried, due to the screaming current and the serious danger of being washed out to Australia

The pic is taken from the Island towards mainland showing the beautiful lodges..

We camped just behind the lodges.. surely very close to heaven...

Had a few good workouts against the outgoing tide running at 7 km/h and head wind of 12 knots...Very glad I stopped smoking for the time now and for my new Kayak...!

Hope every body kept to their quits because it so worth it !!

There is a place in Wisconsin that has a place like that called the deaths door. I think that's what it's called. Me n Mrs to motorcycle trip up Michigan to the upper peninsula (Mich) to Wisconsin through Chicago (bypass) back around to bottom of Michigan... 🚭🔡Jeff

Looks beautiful Hercu 😁 glad you had a nice time and returned safely to your home!! I have recently taken up jogging, hopefully going to run my first 5k on 19th may. I could not have run five yards two years ago but here we are fitting fit(ish) with better health more money and on my part happier children!! Take care, Quitting really is worth it!!! X

Good for you:) I ran my first 5K at my 6 month quit. It was tough but I finished and that was my goal. All the best and yes, quitting is definitely worth it!!!

Beautiful ❣️ Near where I live we have an area called Devils Punch Bowl. It used to be a spectacular view.... Maybe I will revisit one day and share. Sounds like a lovely trip with your new kayak!! All the best
