Hello Month 5.....

So...completed 4 whole months and am 4 days into month 5...Totally amazed at that I am!! lol :p

When I set out to quit (which, I kinda didnt set out to quit really), i never even imagined, dreamed, thought Id make it 4 months free of the ciggies!

Its been a funny ol' road I have to say...its be fraught with challenges and conflictions and emotions being tossed n turned all over and these were not due to my quitting.....I could have caved in so many times with the illusion that smoking would make it all better, make it all easier to deal with....but you know what......Im soooo glad I stuck to it....I really am.

Ive discovered myself.......hell ive discovered my health and thats something to really shout about! I feel healthy, clean and am genuinely happy im non smoker! I dont count now, if it wasnt for my phone app I wouldnt have a clue lol....but here are my stats;

127 days, 12 hours and 31 mins free!

£1369.59 saved (WTH!!!!)

3825 CIGGIES not smoked

15 days 22 hours and 34 mins SAVED!

The best thing? I forget the majority of the time that I actually smoked at all.......and thats a wonderful feeling :D I remember when I first quit....the feeling of dread, loss and fear at what was to happen...then the feeling thats so hard to describe when the excitement wears off and you just feel like your in limbo....I also remember the time I craved so bad that it took 6 attempts to buy ciggies and 6 attempts to walk away......and I did it....it took everything I had left at that point...and now, I can honestly say....it was worth it. All of that fear, anxiety, everything....it was worth the battle!

I still have them....but I look at them as a peanut on a pub table....you know...the ones you flick at high speed at the floor to see how long they last before they get trodden on!!? :D

I would also like to add this.....to all The New Quitters.....I think you are brilliant and are doing so so well!! Some have been on the journey before, others not, but the goal is always the same!! You all seem to have such determination and it really shines through from all of you!

Its a pleasure being part of this forum, and to share this experience with you all...it really is...so Thankyou....thankyou for sharing it with me, for taking the time to read and reply and support me....

This was a great post and great inspiration being a new quitter (20 days in today.) You certainly have a way with words, I have to admit!

5 months is such a great mile stone. You are doing great and look at how much money and time to your life saved! :D:D

We are going to kick this habit together!
