Hi and welcome to this wonderful place :) which is full of people that know what your going through

Well done on making the best decision you can by quitting

what you describe sound like some of the symptons you can get when you quit

but they wont last and will pass and you will soon be seeing alot of positive effects to quitting

drinking plenty of water will help and keep posting and reading some of the posts on here especially in the tips section

onwards and upwards is the only way to go

:)

Hi MB - these symptoms are pretty normal and in many ways can be welcomed. By this I mean it's your body reacting to quitting from the nico-monster . Try diverting towards a new exercise system such as power-walking. Get excited again about your quit by refocusing your goal of being nic-free. :)

Hi, you may have no temperature but your body is reacting to the cessation of thousands of poisons being forced into it on a daily basis, so whilst it begins to recover you feel like poo I'm afraid. But, as everyone else will tell you, this is a really positive sign, you are in recovery, you will start noticing other positives soon and they are all much better than this one. Keep up the fantastic work, you are doing brilliantly ;)

Yep- sounds like quitters flu to me. As the others have said, it's a positive thing and it really doesn't last long.

Good on you for getting to day 7 (actually- day 8 now :)) and nice to meet you! :D

I had this towards the end of my first day (on day 5 now) - my nose wouldn't stop running, my eyes were watering, my nose was also stuffy, and I felt shivery and generally unwell.

I used some spray decongestant and paracetamol for a couple of days but today I feel okay! Nose is still a bit stuffy but nothing like it was! Hope yours is short and sweet.
