I wanted to share two things that I have noticed since I have quit.
My hubby and I have been walking in the afternoons and I have noticed that I can actually breathe in deeper. You get so used to shallow breathing as a smoker and this week I noticed that I can breathe in that little bit deeper. Its cool.
Then this morning I was making coffee and noticed a pack of compral (A pain killer) in the cupboard. I haven't taken any compral for a while now and I used to take it every day. I think that the smoking made me feel so crap that I had more headaches than a 'normal' person.
Cool hey.

Haven't had nearly as many headaches either since quitting, and am breathing much better - our poor bodies were complaining and it took us so long to do anything about it :/
With being a fairly light smoker and at 24 years old, I didn't really notice many changes at first. They have been very subtle and, in all honesty, it made some days really difficult to hold on. I didn't notice an imporvement in my breathing pattern, my car and house didn't smell different (because I smoked outside) and I didn't feel any healther or more energetic.
But ... I have noticed that food smells and tastes better, I've recently started the gym and I don't seem to get worn out so quickly, I LOVE that I don't stink anymore and the best feeling of all is knowing that I'm in control of my body. Knowing that there aren't those times of the day when I will have to dedicate my time and energy to "my friend" the nicotine monster.
