Climbing the walls, worst day yet!

Have given up cold turkey, after 50 years smoking, the last 15 on cigarillos.

Have only lasted one pregnancy without the evil weed.

I now live in Portugal, surrounded by non smokers, I must, must succeed this time, but it is so so hard!!

Well done on your decision to quit smoking. Plenty folks will give you advice on going cold turkey, I myself used patches.

Take baby steps, please please try not to look too far ahead, just a minute, an hour atta time. Drink plenty water, or fruit juices and do things you enjoy.

Try to fill your days with enjoyable things, I loved walking, reading, watching films, spending time with my 2 small grandsons.

I also smoked for 50 years but couldn't manage CT. It doesn't matter what you use to quit. It's the not smoking that matters. Good advice from Fi and Smile
