Hi everyone,

This will probably be short and sweet as I seem to have the attention span of a goldfish at present!! Hoping things will improve a bit by tomorrow.

1st CT - 7 months

2nd CT - 4 months

Now CT - 3 days

Hi Dogrob :)

Well done you getting to day 3 is great just hang in there

Yes things will improve the further you go the easier it gets Promise

For sure there are a few bad times but far more are good

Below is my standard welcome and advice post ehich I try and send to all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Love

Hi Dogrob :)

You are doing really well. I'm on day 3 of C/T too and although I was feeling positive this morning, I've found this afternoon tougher going.

Just try to keep in mind that with each day passed, it will get easier...well, that's my mantra at the moment. :D

Day 3 and 4... it was like walking through glue for me. I know exactly what you mean DogRob1973, but you know this bit is your addiction making it difficult for you don't you? Its a drug addiction thats conned you for donkey's years right now its applied different bait to its line to fish you back in, so all you need to do is swim deeper and let the beggar sit on the bank luckless all day.

Remember.. its mind games time, no matter what this thing is chucking at you right now, you ride through it sternly and with absolute conviction to your cause.

if distractions all you need, do what i do sometimes, go on a youtube adventure on the internet.. type something into youtube's search that interests you, or just type some random stuff, and see where your search takes you. you might just find some truly funny stuff, or something that is really interesting.. heck even music vids. Give it a try, youtubes full of good stuff.

Thanks

Thanks guys and girls, have to say the words of support are really helping.

Well I seem ok at the moment and starting to get the hang of the craving, I do 20 press ups every time I fancy a smoke and that generally puts me off. Might try doing some running soon too.

Anyway here's to day 4 free of those stinking cancer sticks, let me know how you get on??

Day 3

The smallest of tasks feels like trying to nail jelly to the ceiling!!! My brain is addled, my coordination shot away, my appetite raging, my nerves frazzled - shall I go on? But .... I dont want to do day one and day two again, let again day 3, so am hoping day 4 will be a brighter one. Preferably with a brain that works.

Agnas, plan for day 5, 6 and 7 more.

I only really found the first 4 days to be my biggest challenge, but its been worth it ever since.

It would be wrong of me to say day 4 is fine when that day wasn't for me at all.

Get to day 5.. thats my best advice and i hope you get a better day in day 4 than today either way.
