Hi everyone, this is day 1 for me! I hate smoking - the smell, how it makes me feel, everything but it`s the one thing I have always struggled with and I want to be free of it. Good luck to everyone else who has made that decision too. We can do it!!

ooh i agree! - good luck to everyone starting their life of freedom today! i'm on day 35 and although I don't post much since my laptop broke I'm still thinking of you all & sending luck & love this way. For me at least, this really *will* be a happy no smoking day today, at last - no more feeling ashamed of myself like in previous years, or telling myself that i'd be missing out if i stopped - wrong!

the other mum i walk home from school with still smokes and thinks she wouldnt be able to do it and so has never tried - how silly is that?!? My son feels that way about tying shoelaces - but he's 8. I'm trying to cheerfully tell her how easy it is once you decide to do it and how worth it it is - without being one of 'those' ex-smokers, you know the sort, that almost make you more determined to do it...
