Wow never thought I would be here. Two years of thinking about it and then finally deciding to do it.
Even went out for a nice dinner with hubby tonight and I was able to relax and not think about when we would leave or if I should go outisde for a smoke. We have not been to a restaurant in the UK in years because of the non smoking rules. May God help me to keep this up. Never thought I would be at this point but I really do not care about it. The demon is gone and may he stay away forever!
May we all continue to be successful in our ongoing struggle.
have a wonderful night and for those going away who won't be online again soon, Have a Happy Easter, Enjoy!!

When they did no smoking rule I hated going out. Or soon as I ate I would go out side to smoke.. Now I'm ok going out eating and don't think about smoke..
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my last cigarette. I cant believe how easy its been for me..

It's great, you have a great holiday too! Smoke free of course
Hey Val I'm sorry I can't give you any advice on Champix except I came of it after only a few days. I guy I taught to drive stopped using champix and is still stopped and that must be 18 month ago at least.
Some on here have dropped down to a lesser dose after a week or two but unless you think you are getting side effects I think you should stay as you are. Up to now as far as you are concerned it seems to be working.
I don't know if you have ever thought of this but as a non smoker you deserve to reward yourself. If you can put the money you would spend on cigs into a jar or something, save it and buy something you have wanted for a long time. I didn't actually save my money but once I had been stopped about 3 month or so I bought myself a 32 inch HD TV.
I for one did believe you could make it to week 2, keep positive and it will soon be week 3.
Hi Jack, thanks for your note. Actually I am feeling fine I've not really had any effects. I have started a bit of a runny nose but whether it's the quitting or a light cold it's okay, nothing I can't deal with.
As for the champix, no I have not had any problems. It just happened by chance last night I did not take one but I felt fine. I'm pretty much mentally where I need to be that I will not smoke anymore. I had to nurse my mom back from colon cancer which I am sure she got from 2nd hand smoke, after years of breathing in my dad's chain smoking. It was from then 2 years ago that I have wanted to quit and just needed to get myself ready for it, that is how I got here. I am very happy with myself and keep patting my back
Yes I agree with your idea about the jar. We've been doing it since last week when I quit and I'm loving it filling up.
Have a wonderful night and thanks for keeping track of me
Just wanted to post and say I'm doing great. Even had friends over yesterday and sat outisde and bbq'd and I even had a couple of drinks. Guess what? I did not smoke and did not have any urges either.
I am so happy, and may I say very pleased with myself. Hope you are all doing well and keeping healthy!!
I too am now on Day 12 and thrilled to be here, today has been a good day apart from the whole packet of mini battenbergs that I ate all to myself  I must try to control this!! I haven't been drinking much water, so as I am off work this week I intend to catch up on housework and concentrate on replacing the food with water
i do not think i was ready for you to put words in quotation marks. i'll think about what you really want when you put your search in quotes and try to return something that makes sense.

Sorry? Perhaps your message is in the wrong thread? Not sure what you are referring too.

Hi Louise,
Glad you're still hanging in there! Great job! I find myself smiling when I think "I don't smoke anymore", because I never thought I would even attempt a quit, let alone quit By the way, do get into the water. The first 10 days, (not intentionally), but I was always thirsty and I cannot say that I have overindulged in food. Definitely helps with the cravings..
