I made first step to quit smoking. I visited Local NHS Stop Smoking Centre and booked for appointment for coming Saturday. I really want to quit...mainly for my wife. Different people have different reasons for quitting. For me it's my wife.
When my wife wants to kiss me I move away with fear that I will be smelling horrible. From her side, she thinks I do not want to kiss her. This has made me very guilty. I want to change things. I am having second marriage anniversary soon and I want to give this as gift to my wife.
I look forward working with everyone in the forum and succeed together.

Firstly congrats on making the decision to stop smoking and for the reasons you give. When you start the ball rolling to quit you need to do it for the right reasons and then you will be better prepared. Have a read through the reasons posts and hopefully that will enforce your stopping too.
Good luck for Saturday and please do in the meantime read lots and post when you want to as we are all in the same boat and are there to help everyone acheive the ultimate goal.
Its not as bad as you think, but together we can do this. Good luck my friend
