Well, here I am on the last day in week 3. It's also my last day in a 'week' forum. I'm allowed in the 'month' forums from tomorrow :).
The past three weeks have been generally nowhere near as tough as I expected and I think I've built (with the help of people here) a sturdy foundation for a successful quit.
To those on the especially tough week 1, I say stick with it. It really does get easier with time. You *will* have rough times too, but with determination and seeking help here you can overcome any difficulties and the rough times do diminish both in frequency and intensity. You may not believe that just now (as I didn't in the beginning) but it really is true. I'm not a doctor but trust me anyway :D.
I want to say a huge thank you to those who have helped me directly over the past three weeks (you know who you are :)) and to the countless people who have helped indirectly by me reading their past threads and posts. It's all helped to reinforce my non-smoker thinking as I stand proudly at the gates of week 4.
Good luck to everyone!!
Ed xx

Well done Ed, it's a great feeling moving up the boards. You are motivating the people who are behind you, just as the people who are in front of you motivating you. You should be proud of yourself x
I'd never have believed I could make it this far. As I'm using patches I'm aware that I've got further challenges when I drop down to lower strengths, but I'm ready for them!!

I definitely see here as very much a give and take place. I've drawn so much strength from people here that it's only right I should give back where I can.
