Day 25 and brain is melting

Hi all, I stumbled across this site when I was looking into the dreaming about smoking problem. At the present moment in time I have way to much energy and of course the smallest thing can set me off to having a go at someone or retreating into myself. I have become a emotional wreck around the other half and she has her moments when she is supportive and other times where she doesnt care.

But that aside I have been going for long walks and a bit of a run to get rid of this energy but I cant shift it, its starting to wind me up (concidering Im a IT nerd I dont need energy at work!). Does anyone have any ideas.

Thanks for your time :P

Hi Ste-vo :D

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Well done you on day 25 sorry to hear your brain is melting

Being emotional is normal but it will pass as for the excess energy that to will settle down and as your body recovers from the smoking abuse you'll feel loads better

Keep going as you are take it a day at a time I promise it does get better

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Love

Thanks for the reply, nice to hear some words of encouragement for a change (in actual fact the only person supporting me in the real world is my mum, and I only see her once ever 2 weeks lol). Will continue to read and post when I get needy :P

Cheers

I'll have some of that

Hi St-evo,

LOL at above. If you have all this energy I would happily take some off your hands as I don't have any at the moment.

On a serious note though you are doing so well. Apart from exercising to use it up & housework (can you tell I'm a woman ;)) I can't think of anything else at the mo.

All these feelings will settle I promise & everything will seem more even for you.

Hiya St-evo. You are nearly a month smoke free, well done mate, like gaynor said, you could share your surplus energy out because like her I don't feel very lively at the moment. You mention your OH, don't know if you have a family or even want one but, practising is a very good way of releasing excess energy if my memory serves me right. Like others will say, you will get it sorted. David
