SO pleased with myself - I'm now waking up not thinking about fags at all - until I check in on here...
Some fringe benefits I've noticed which make me happy, you know, apart from all the obvious health/smell things...
1) For the first couple of weeks I didn't trust myself to go near a shop. So I got into the habit of taking lunch to work with me.
So I a) am saving money on food and b) am no longer eating 'emergency' rubbish sandwiches and crisps, but nice healthy food to outweigh all the sweets.
2) More self respect means I'm looking after myself better, taking more care over my appearance and compliments from the small people at work (I like your dress/hair/shoes) have approximately doubled in the last three weeks. (They were pretty generous with them anyway, mind. It's easy to be kind to old birds, when you're three.)
3) Masses of pride.
4) ooops look at the time...will be late for my daily compliment! BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE x

Hi Incy, that's great. Once the benefits kick in and you start to notice them it get's so much easier. Hair and Nails look nicer, as do teeth, also you will smell so much better now too.
A non-smoking friend stayed this weekend and although smoking was only allowed by the open external kitchen door, he noticed the difference, as do I after cleaning day.
Great that you have noticed additional benefits of not smoking, I got a scale and polish done on my teeth, they definitely stay cleaner without having those horrible things staining them
what I really like is all the extra phlegm you cough up all for free as well haha. Plus cleaner teeth, breath and the skin on my face has a lot more colour to it...
I am finding I save more money than the fag money too. It's great that because you're not in a shop every day you don't pick up extra rubbish. Could probably double what my app says I've saved in total and that's more proper treats in the long run. But my favourite is my skin and teeth because they really are better already and I never even realised they needed to be😳
