Just wondering how everyone's feeling that was giving up for no smoking day! I bought one of the fake cigarette things and it's great! Still feeling positive, and hopefully tonight will go just as well as today.

Apart from the fact that I'm eating a cream cake and typing with one had it's all going well! When I went out at lunchtime there was a No Smoking Day stand in the local shopping centre so I took the time to tell them how good this fourm was and to test my carbon monoxide levels. It was at the level of a light smoker (which I don't think I was), so it shows that things must be begining to work already!

How are things with you? Hope all's well.

i'm going great. feeling really good in fact...off to the gym about 4.

apparently i was a bit moody earlier (my wife said) but i thought i was ok lol

Hey all, since it is NNS day I wanted to come on here to give everyone my / our support for what it is worth.

For those of you that haven't ever heard of me or Sharkbait - we were solid 30 cigs a dayers for donkeys years - and we both stopped in August and July 07 (respectively).

Since then, neither of us has even taken a single drag of a cigarette and if we can do it - YOU CAN !

It's just a mindset. Shark used Champix - and I used cold turkey - and we both listened to a lot of Paul McKenna (I can make you believe that cigarettes are minging - or something like that).

If you want to stop, you can. It's totally down to you - and I know it can be dead hard ! We both used the forums loads to get lots of support from others - and even though we don't get on here much these days - we haven't forgotten how much help and support we got - so wanted to tell everyone to stick with it ! You CAN do it. You WILL do it if you want to.

Stick in there. We both ****ing hate it these days and delight in making the horrible smokers stand in the garden if they come to our house !! We spent loads on the garden (after 6 months we spent all the money we saved getting the garden done up), and we've had 4x1 week holidays just out of the money we've saved.

Since we stopped, we HAVEN'T smoked about THIRTY FOUR THOUSAND cigarettes ! 34,000 !!!!! at £5 for 20 (ish) that's a saving of about £8,500 in just over 18 months.

Write that down and carry it around on a little piece of card in your purse/wallet and every time you get tempted, take it out and have a look at it.

Good luck ! Be strong !! Don't give in !! YOU CAN DO THIS !!:D:)

Gosh its been months since I was last on here.

I too wanted to wish everyone well and confirm it is Soooooooo worth it.

Packup the cigs for me meant a business class holiday to San Francisco for me,hubby and 15yrold daughter last summer. You can do it people!:):)
