Firstly - well done. Day 3 of cold turkey is a great acheivement.

After tonight there will be no nicotine in your system - you will be "clean". Also the cravings should slowly start to lose their intensity over the next few days.

Vivid dreams happen to a lot of people, so I read - try not to worry.

I don't want to depress you, but I'm still having trouble sleeping - but that might be due to the Champix rather than anything else... insomnia is one of the listed side effects.

Congrats again, and don't let the withdrawel symtoms sway your resolve.

Helen

Well done on your day 3 we will feel much better once we get the first week over with honest. I have never used champix but a lot of quitters on the site have and they all talk about the dreaming. So dont worry to much about them. xxx

Hi Helen

The wanting to scream and hit things is not unusual.

why not start a kickboxing or Tae Kwon Do class. They will both get you mega fit, and help deal with the "I want to knock the crap out of something!!!" feelings. :D

The dreams are also relatively common but i must say the "best" dreams i have had in a quit were my "NRT induced" dreams  :D

What you are experiencing is normal. Scream and shout if you want.

Do like that advert and have a tantrum in front of your child and see what they make of it if you want, but don't smoke, as you say - You have taken control.

Best of luck

Nic

As well as what Nic said...

Will a cigarette make all that go away?

No, of course it won't. Choose to say no. The craving will go away whether you smoke or not. So don't.
