My Doctor says...

:D Thought I would share with all of you what my physician has told me today. He told me that when I have a craving to pick up someone elses cigarette or tobacco pipe and take three deep breaths of it. The brain will believe that you have fulfilled the craving as 50% of taste is our scent. As well he told me that chewing on celery slowly and until it turns to pulp in your mouth and then swallowing should help with cravings as well. :D

Morning NS4M

Hi again lovely - hope you had a better night last night. I managed to get three hours straight, woke up had another hour and then spent the last hour dozing and waking every 10 mins until I could bear it no longer and got up. So I feel a bit more rested than I did. And I managed to eat some plain pasta (about 2 spoons worth) last night which was also good and my tummy seems to have accepted that.

I think your advice from the doc is really helpful and brilliant. Do you think the celery trick would work with other stuff cos I might give it a go and see how long it takes to chew up something and how helpful that is.

Bad crunchies again last night - not so bad this morning. That 3 minute thing is really helpful that you were saying - the crunchies remind me of contractions at child birth. Would like to have smoke very much but will resist as I am on day 14 which I never ever thought I would see.

Hope you're ok NS4M cos I like our chats.

Stick your nose in an ashtray, take one lungful of the stench and that craving will be gone :p

I have read from numerous reputable sources that bananas can help too.

I happen to love bananas anyway, which is a bonus :p
