best not promise as the disappointment will be just too much if I don't make it, right?!

Need to check the alcohol situation.. got a feeling we're out of everything worth drinking and are left with some fierce Korean firewater in a beautiful white ceramic bottle and some gaudy MauTai which Mrs S won't touch on account of what happened in Beijing last time we went drinking there. Must confess that it does bring back quite unpleasant memories for me too... doctors around beds and worried hosts.. mmm.
