First, thank you to everyone in this community for posting such helpful information! I had a transplant a month ago and am trying to negotiate avoiding raw nuts, grapefruit and unpasteurized dairy when nutritional labels aren't completely explicit.
If anyone has information about safe/unsafe products or how best to manage this, I'd really appreciate it!
In case it's helpful, I did hear back from Keurig Dr Pepper when I inquired about "natural flavors" in a product and they replied:
Let us inform you that the products that contain grapefruit juice are:
- Crush Pineapple Flavored Soda
- Hawaiian Punch Mango Monsoon Flavored Juice Drink
- Mistic Tropical Carrot Juice Drink
- Old Colony Pineapple Flavored Soda
- Snapple Pink Lemonade
- Squirt Grapefruit Flavored Soda
- Squirt Ruby Red Citrus Berry Flavored Soda
- Squirt Zero Sugar Grapefruit Flavored Soda
- Venom Mango Flavored Energy Drink
- Venom Zero Sugar Citrus Flavored Energy Drink
- Wink Citrus Flavored Soda
- Xyience Frostberry Flavored Energy Drink
- Xyience Mango Guava Flavored Energy Drink
Thanks and best wishes!

thank you for this list it is very helpful. I never thought Crush pineapple soda would have grapefruit juice. I also recently found out Sunny Delight had grapefruit juice I always try to read the labels but I was a guest at someone’s house and this isn’t my go to drink anyway I had a bit only to find out now it contained grapefruit. I was lucky to have avoided any side effects but have tried to be more careful. I also had fresh squeezed orange juice once 4 months after my transplant and I have to remind myself it’s not good/safe for me to drink.
I think it’s about reading labels and just educating yourself on the food choices you want to eat. I still am trying to figure it out myself. Food is personal to everyone I think. I heard from different transplant people that I couldn’t have cranberries, avocados, and pineapple. I checked with my team they said these were ok for me to have. My team told me I couldn’t have any herbal teas only Lipton black tea but the same transplant team told my aunt she could drink herbal teas but no cranberries. It’s a tough subject to navigate and everything out there is contradictory one way or another.
