Famous Kidney Transplant People

I am watching Modern Family (rerun and the series is now ended) and remembered that Sarah Hyland, the oldest daughter, Hailey, of Claire and Phil on the show, was transplanted with a kidney when she was younger by a donation from her father. It failed and she got another transplant.I read that she said she was always tired on the set of Modern Family and napped between scenes. She also said she had brain fog and could not remember her lines.

I think she is about 25 (?) yrs old now and married. She looks so thin, but I'm sure she has dieticians to prepare food.

Such a sad story b/c she is so young. I cannot remember if her second donor was from a family member.

Jonah Lumo the All Black rugby player had a transplant back in 2004.

This failed in 2011 and he died in about 2015 whilst on dialysis.

Also, George Lopez, comedian. I lost a bit of respect for him when, about 5 yrs ago (?), he was found passed out on the floor of a Las Vegas casino (AFTER his transplant). It doesn’t make sense to drink alcohol to the point of passing out after getting a kidney transplant! Shame on him — with so many worthy souls waiting for a kidney!!

I also read that George Lopez divorced his wife AFTER she donated her kidney to him. He doesn't sound like a very nice person.
