I am 2yrs post transplant and I am starting to see suds every now and then in my urine, my doctor said she was concern because my creatinine is within my range, she said it’s probably from my native kidneys. Has anyone had this issue.
Urine: I am 2yrs post transplant and I am... - Kidney Transplant
Urine
Is there protein in your urine based on your urine analysis report?
No, protein is good
I have PKD and had lots of foam/bubbles before my transplant. I have less now, but they are still there, from the original, freeloader kidneys. My test numbers continue to be good. No one is worried about the foam. Good luck.
I am 20+ years post transplant. I occasionally will have bubbles in my urine. My nephrologist has tested my urine several times when this has happened and was fine. He told me there can be several reasons for the bubbles and told me not to worry about it. My creatinine is stable and no sign of protein in my urine. My nephrologist said too that it was probably coming from my native kidneys.
In the last year or two I have not noticed it at all. When they ultra-sounded my kidneys earlier this year, my native kidneys have all but disappeared. My native kidneys had FSGS.
Make sure you do follow up with your doctor and that all is OK!
Thanks WYOAnne and congratulations on 20+ years, you give people like me positive hope. I had an ultra-sound on my kidney this pass Monday, waiting on results, I know all is well. I started seeing a new local nephrologist and he wanted to do an ultrasound since I have not had one since I transplanted in sept 2018
