Hello everyone hope things are good, I had the first successful double transplant kidney and pancreas 17 years ago at Newcastle Freeman and all is still working perfectly. But find it impossible to get a girlfriend.

Hi . have had my kidney/pancreas transplant for 16 years next month. I was rejected by a man I had been with for almost two years (and had fallen totally on love with) because he did not want to "deal with" a diabetic. At that time my kidneys were still working. I was , so afraid of more rejection, that I did not even try to meet anyone else that I did not really try to meet anyone else . Six years later my kidneys failed and I went on dialysis for three years until I got my transplant. Since I was rejected "just for being diabetic", there was no way I was going to try dating again after my transplant. The years kept marching on, and now suddenly I am too old to try to meet someone. If you really want to meet someone, DO NOT GIVE UP like I did. Life is too short! I hope you find your "special someone soon. Best of luck to you!👍

But you are never too old to date or to enjoy good company. You shouldn't give up either!

Thanks LisaSnow! You are always very kind to the members of this group we are in. I'm actually o.k. I have never really felt lonely or bored being solitary, and I have a dog that I love very much. Thank you for your encouragement!😊
