GOOD RX

Hey Everyone!

Just thought I would share some of my experience's with using the Good RX APP. My name is Jenifer and I'm 31 yrs old, I was diagnosed with ESRD when I was 13. I was on peritoneal dialysis for 3 years, when I got my transplant at the age of 16. I lost that transplant when I was 21 after loosing my health insurance. ( if I knew what I knew now I would've fought harder) I ended back on PD, for 6 years. I received my transplant I have now in 2016. 4 years, and going strong. Medications and lab work are what make transplants work. I have to pay for my prograf, which I use the GOOD RX app for. Normally these pills, for a month supply is around $500 sometimes more. With this app I save HUNDREDS!!!!! I just got my refill at Ralphs and spent $1.30. I'm just posting this hoping people who have trouble getting their meds will read this and try out the app. ITS A LIFESAVER!!and we all know pharmacist's really dont like help you out, so be persistent. Good Luck to everyone pre and post transplant.

It is the the most common transplant drug so all insurance plans should cover it.

Thanks for the tip. As much as Id like to get away from the nightmare that is the mail order requirement by my provider, its $10 through them and $247 w goodrx from my local store. I truly would like to get away from Optum. Its awful.

Always good to look around. I have a drug that comes from canada. In most towns, there are free clinics. Been there years ago for Imuran, while in between insurance.
