Increase Uric acid and chelestrol - Kidney Transplant
Increase Uric acid and chelestrol
I have been on Myfortic and Neoral for over 20 years (transplant in 1999) and have no problems with uric acid. You need to check with your doctor because High Uric acid causes gout. My husband gets gout and it is nothing you want.
High cholesterol can be inherited. Some of us get as we age have high cholesterol too. I take generic Lipitor for my cholesterol. My numbers are great now.
Talk with your transplant team regarding Myfortic and if it can cause these issues.
Celery sticks are the best for this pain and have been using as ancient medicine. You can see the results in just couple of days and take every day, it does not cost you much. I had too much pain in the feet due to high Uric acid level and it was coming frequently once medications are over. Someone told me this option and worked like a charm for me.
Dear Ish123,
Your pain is, I strongly suspect, Gout- trust me, I should know😖. Apparently 'Very Common', after Kidney Transplant.... No, I don't remember it being 'mentioned' in all that literature either!
There are Medications available, again take 'my word', so please Do speak to your Doctors/ Consultants. I was actually Transplanted in July 2013, so a 'few years back' now, so, if I can Help you in any way, please Do ask Ish123. I'm Not 'on' the same Medication(s) as yourself, but then, perhaps we have Different Conditions. Post transplant I'm on, amongst other things like Tacrolimus and Prednisolone.
I deliberately haven't given you, too much detail, in this 'Post' Ish123 as I, really do, think that you need to Speak To, your own Doctors/ Consultants.

Are you diabetic??
If your uric acid is increasing stop eating foods with purines! Gout is painful. Change the diet and your body will reward you!
