Calf and foot pain
Are you having edema or swelling in those areas? Edema can definitely cause discomfort that can feel painful. If so you should let your doctors know.
hi, I’ve had lots of pain and aches in my legs and ankles. Kidney desease can cause osteopenia, maybe ask for a dexa scan. I’ve started Pilates and my legs feel much better and my bones feel stronger. Hope this helps.
Have you had your uric acid levels checked?
If it were me, I would say that I was dehydrated and have low magnesium. How are your labs? Maybe ask nephrologist to run renal labs and see where you are at.
Yes, I’m experiencing left hip, thigh, and shin pain. It’s only on the left side though. It’s very painful when I get up in the morning but improves as I go through the day.
I’m due to primary care in about 5 weeks and have asked them if they can check my bone density. I had some mild loss of bone density on my left side about 5 years ago. Osteoporosis is pretty severe on my mom’s side of the family… So, I’m suspecting my issues are more likely related to osteoporosis.
In the meantime, I’m starting a set of bed exercises to minimize knee, hip, and lower back pain. I can do these in bed before I get up. The PT in rehab had me do these there. Hopefully they will minimize the pain so I can get out of bed more easily in the mornings.
My labs are fine. Magnesium level is exactly in the middle of the normal range. My hydration is actually sometimes showing that I’m over hydrated. I have labs run weekly post-transplant at this point. I have mentioned this pain to my transplant team. They’re convinced it isn’t transplant related.
Fingers crossed that the bed stretches will help me deal with pain as I get up each morning. Then I’ll do my walking, exercising, and recumbent elliptical workouts throughout the day.
I just turned 70 Aug 3rd. The oldness has come!!
