My husband is currently on dialysis for the last two years. He received an offer for a living donor from a friend of a friend. However, the donor lives in another country, and this has all been put on hold due to the current situation. We are feeling very disappointed at the moment. Hopefully things will change.

Hopefully this virus situation will end soon. The whole world has been turned upside down, I hope your husband gets a transplant soon. I was on dialysis 2 and 1/2 years before receiving a kidney from a deceased donor last year, so I know how it is.

I am on dialysis. He is lucky to have a friend that has come forward. None on mine did! I wish him all the best.

Prayers that it will happen for your husband soon. I had my transplant 20 years ago from a deceased donor. I wish him the success I have when it all happens for him.

Best wishes!

I heard that they are allowing travel for kidney transplants now. If his donor knows that. They allow air travel for donors and recipients.

What about testing? We have someone who passed the initial questionnaire, blood pressure etc. Do we know when they can continue testing with labs, tissue matching etc?
