Lately it's been Jill Scott who has calmed my nerves. I'm going to switch to Alicia Keys (lots of great songs to sing along to with her youtube.com/watch?v=xPvwDcr...

It's been a while folks. I've been doing well. Still not on dialysis. Thankful. I have a doctors appointment next Thursday so I'll find out more then.

I went for my check up to the transplant office and now they found something on my heart when I had a stress test. They want to check, so I need an MRI. Super sad about that. What can I do is ask God to take it away.

I'm achy in the back and feeling a little swollen. I've been tired. Some of it is little sleep but we know what the main culprit is.

I swear when I get a kidney and feel better I'm going to be a hip hopping kidney crusader.

For those of you who remember I'm still working on my doctorate degree. My classes are all done quintessentially all As and one B+ in Stats.

A coworker tried to donate but she couldn't at the last stage. Now I have another coworker who wants to donate. We know she isn't my blood type. She may do a paired match. I'm hopeful. Well I just wanted to say hi all. I hope you all are doing well.

So good to hear from you. Working on a Doctorate is no small thing. Good for you. Would love to know what it will be in. And yes, you will always be the Queen. Don't let the heart thing get to you. They often find something and it no big deal in the long run. Keep in touch.

Hi Bassetmommer, Well the title of my dissertation as of now is Where did the good energy go? Black advisers recharging their energy after experiences with racial microaggressions at predominantly white institutions. A fun way of saying how can I feel better after dealing with racism.

My that is a big topic. Fascinating though because I do not think people realize how many signals as humans we pick up even if they are not verbalized or even tactile. I brain is constantly reading signals whether they are from others, or even as simple as a sign or posting, or a glance. You might be interested in reading a book by Dr. Scaer who did extensive research on trauma. ( I am certified as a Trauma Specialist by the way) Good luck with your work.

Good to hear from you. Hang in with the doctoral pursuit. Now, is when things may get a little tough. Best of luck
