Some (relative) good news

Because I got a stent they put me on Brillanta, a blood thinner and the transplant center said as long as I'm on it I can't be on the list. Well they said 6 months at first. I had a telehealth call with my cardiologist and he said I can stop in 3 months. Yay!

I have an appt Dec 16 with him and I'm sure he'll make sure I'm not having issues. The only one I have is the bleeding not stopping after dialysis and if I get a scratch. I can live with the bruises that are popping up all over but I've gone through countless band aids.

I also told him I'm not taking the Lipitor. I already take 2 cholesterol drugs (pravastatin and zetia) with no side effects, and my cholesterol on the last 2 tests was within range. He wants my LDL to be below 60 however. Is it possible to get your cholesterol too low? I know high levels are bad.

I'm hoping the walking I'm doing will help and I can stay away from Lipitor. I don't need or want muscle or bone pain.

So glad things are turning around for you. Dunno what to say about your LDL. Maybe ask your transplant center coordinator re what the transplant center would like to see.

That's a good idea. I'll ask when I tell them the good news.
