Painful foot problems since dialysis

Several sores worsened on problem feet, some now infected. These areas on my feet’s worsened after starting dialysis. Anyone else experienced this issue? If so any treatment or possible causes investigated. I appreciate your feedback/comments. Thanks.

Sorry I can't offer much help. However I know a few patients in our dialysis centre get regular visits from the hospital chiropodist, due to severe issues with their feet. I would definitely bring it up with your medical team. Make sure you get answers, as you do not want this to get any worse. Are you diabetic?

If you are having sores on your feet ...especially those that look infected...you need to tell your Clinic ...Infection and Dialysis will create many problems...you need treatment

I saw this a bit late. Infections of the feet are often diabetes related, not so much dialysis related. If you're a diabetic, it's very important to see your endocrinologist for med adjustments and for referral to a wound healing specialist. If you're not a diabetic, maybe ask your nephrologist for a referral. Checking in with a wound doctor often keeps people on their feet for a good length of time! Hugs!
