Hi everyone. For those of you with PD experience, when you complete a treatment, does your machine show numbers in the negative? Meaning, it takes out the fluid you put in plus additional? How do you know for sure it is working?

I haven't had that problem. But you can tell how it's working by tracking your weight. My ending weight is always less than my starting weight. I would ask your clinic about interpreting the machine's numbers. I hope this helps. Best wishes.
I agree that the peritoneal nurse, who is on call, should help you get a better understanding the end of therapy drain volume. When I had negative numbers, it usually meant my last drain was incomplete and that too much fluid remained in my peritoneal cavity. All good questions for the dialysis care nurse. HAVE A GOOD DAY.
Occasionally I have the same problem as Virg. Weight is not going up and down as expected.
Hello I had this experience. When it is in negative after a treatment, go scroll to the number that is negative and estimate how much of it is left in you from dialysis treatment. Then scroll to manual drain and let it drain out and watch the numbers go to positive. Then go to your nurse to adjust dialysis for next treatment.
Yeh my fluid intake number sometimes is high and my UF is low or the other way round
