When folks are at the dialysis center do you use a tablet or phone?

Hello Again,

As I mentioned before, I am a User Interface Design Student who are building a site to help people who are undergoing dialysis. Like my sister, she uses her phone to watch Youtube videos to pass time. I'm interested in what device people use so that I could tailor it specific for those devices. So if you could please tell me if you use a phone, or tablet ? I'm not sure if someone brings in a laptop since most often, both hands are needed to type. Also, do you use voice commands? Thanks!

Hi Mambata. I use a phone. I have inly seen a couple of patients use laptops. I would say older people tend to use tablets as maybe easier to read? Good luck on your project.

I use an iPad with a stand. I use it for watching videos, Prime or Netflix., also books reading or 'Audible'. The Wi-Fi in the unit is a little temperamental and often goes of halfway through a session usually at the most exciting part of the film. I also have the 'Times' newspaper so I can do the crosswords. etc.

Hi, at the centre I go to, which is in Namibia. We are allowed to use both phones or tablet devices. I personally have also used a laptop to get some work done.

Thanks to all of you who replied! It seems like I have to design it for phones, tablets, and other devices.
