PD scare on Halloween

What a memorable Halloween scare! I was out walking on the streets and my PD tube started leaking. I didn’t think this was possible. I found a sizable wet spot on my clothes and then saw that the metal connector between myself and the catheter was loose. Was in major panic and didn’t know what to do.. didn’t have any clamps or anything with me and wasn’t sure what was really leaking at first... then finally found the emergency number to call my clinic and went there immediately. They weren’t sure why the tube came loose either. They have not seen that happen before. The nurse changed my transfer set and gave me antibiotics. And now I am waiting and hoping I don’t get an infection :’(

It sure freaked me out this Halloween.
