I’ve been on dialysis five years and I don’t think my doctor really cares they tell me I’m not a good candidate for my knee because I fell last year and I have no cartilage between the bones I’ve had to Cortizone shots and see the ortho doctor in November. I don’t think my doctor really cares about me he’s too busy

Getting on the list
Hi Arleendodson,
Sorry to hear! I recently joined an amazing group on FB. They do modified Whole Foods plant based diet and follow a protocol developed by the founder of the group who helped her husband get off dialysis. The group is full of very supportive nearly seven thousand members who share their recipes and experiences and of course labs that are very encouraging. I have not come across a more positive and hopeful place than this. Given the challenges of CKD a positive, proactive group is so invaluable. See if it interests you. The group is called Natural Kidney Journey.
Make an appointment with transplant and have the necessary testing needed to find out if you're a candidate for transplant. As far as you're Nephrologist. If you feel as though he's not concerned about your health. Maybe it's time to find another doctor.
I don't see how having knee damage is going to affect your chances of getting on the kidney transplant list.
It’s not my knee is that they want me to lose weight. I joined Nutrisystem and I want to join the YMCA or 24 hour fitness I just have to find the right because static balance is three days a week sometimes four because my doctor wants my dry weight lower I try to watch how much I drink but it’s hard. I’m going to see ortho doctor and he’s giving me two cortisone shots . I have appointment November 20 .See what he says . My dr didnt listen and I want to tell him. About my knee and the storage room at Homestead makes which I think is from Diakysis. I’ll have to turn ontell him again next time
I had polycystic kidneys and when i was 38 my kidneys failed. I had both my kidneys removed after i had my transplant
