I would like to know, at what stage of CKD, do health services in other countries, consider it clinically appropriate for a patient to receive:1) Dialysis; or

2) Transplant

I reside in 🇿🇦, and here you literally have to be "knocking on heaven's door" to be considered for either; in both Private & Public Health sector!

USA below GFR of 20 to start eval for transplant.....GFR below 15 for dialysis but most people wait until it is much lower. Mine was 7.

Interesting question. Here in USA with eGFR of 20 or less they want to refer you for dialysis and/or transplant. I know because I was at eGFR 10.9 when my Nephrologist referred me for dialysistransplant. In UK, I've heard it is GFR of 10. However, I am not yet on dialysis due to not clinically needing it yet. Hope this helps. Stay safe.
